정보통신정책연구원은  지식정보사회의 구현을 위한 국가의 정보통신정책의 수립과 국민경제의 향상에 이바지하기 위해 설립된 국무총리실 산하 정부출연연구기관이다. 정보통신정책연구원 본원 청사는 지하1층 지상6층의 건물로 충북 진천음성 충북혁신도시에 위치하여  ICT 생태계 역동성 확보, ICT기반의 신시장 창출, 벤처창업 활성화, ICT를 통한 사회문제 해결방안, ICT 기술발전에 따른 역기능 대응 등과 관련한 연구용역을 수행을 하고 있다. 충북 진천·음성 혁신도시는 충북 음성군 맹동면, 진천군 덕산면 일대 6,899천㎡에 총 1조 623억 원을 투입하여 부지조성을 완료 하였으며, 2018년까지 한국가스안전공사 등 11개 기관 3,085명이 이전할 계획이며, 이전이 완료되면 정주 계획인구 4만 1천여 명 규모의 도시가 된다.

The Korea Information Society Development Institute is a government research facility that operates under the prime minister, aiming to realize proper info-communication policies and contribute to the enhancement of the national economy. The main institute has one basement floor and a total of 6 storeys and is located in the Chungbuk Innovation City in Jinchun-eumsung, Choongbuk. The place serves the role of responding to the adverse effects through the development of ICT technologies, vitalizing venture businesses, bringing new markets with ICT base, solving social issues through ICT and securing a dynamic environment in ICT. The Choongbuk Innovation City has invested 1,062,300,000 dollars across a 6,899,000㎡ around the Duksan area and Maengdong-myun to complete the site.Till 2018, more than 3,085 people will relocate with a total of 11 institutions including the Korea Gas Safety Corporation and the city will be able to accommodate 41,000 people for settlements.
