<열우물테니스·스쿼시경기장>이 위치한 십정동은 예로부터 우물이 많아 유래된 지역 이름으로 이 지역의 우물터를 보존하고 기념하기 위해 우리말인 열우물을 사용하여 <열우물테니스·스쿼시경기장>으로 정하였다. 경기장의 외관은 녹지에서 흘러내려 온 이슬과 이슬을 통해 비춰보는 테니스라켓을 형상화하여 계획하였으며 미래지향적인 최첨단 경기장 건립으로 지역경제 활성화 및 국가 경제 발전에 기여하고 국내·외 체육행사는 물론 급증하는 체육 인구 등을 고려한 시민휴식 및 건강증진 공간을 제공할 것이다. 또한, 서구체육공원과 부평체육공원에는 농구장, 배드민턴장, 게이트볼장 등 야외 생활체육시설을 두루 갖춰 생활체육 레저공간으로서 인근 주민들의 삶의 질을 향상할 수 있도록 조성하였다.

As the name of Sipjeong-dong, the location where the “Yeolwumul Tennis/Squash Stadium” is located, originated from the town’s numerous wells, the name of a new site was decided as “Yeolwumul Tennis/Squash Stadium” by using its Korean name, yeolwumul (“ten wells”), to help preserve and celebrate the site and its numerous wells that can be found throughout the area. The exterior design of the stadium is designed to look like dew from a green area and a tennis racket that has been drenched in dew. As the building is established as a future-oriented advanced stadium, it will not only contribute towards revitalizing the local economy and developing the national economy, but it will also provide a rest and recreational area for people to enjoy, as well as serving as a space for promoting health through the consideration of domestic and overseas sports events, as well as the rapidly increasing sports population in Korea. In addition, Seogu Sports Park and Bupyeong Sports Park also contain a wealth of diverse outdoor sports facilities such as a basketball court, badminton court, and a gate ball court to help improve the quality of life of local residents by acting as a place for sports and leisure.
