김포공항 FBO 신축공사는 친환경 건축물 조성을 위해 녹색건축물 우량등급과 에너지효율 1등급으로 설계되었고, 에너지 절감을 위해 지열시스템을 적용하였다. 주요 구조부는 철근콘크리트조와 철골조이며 격납고는 그라스울 판넬, 여객터미널은 알루미늄 허니콤판넬과 석재를 주요 외장재로 사용하였고, 단열효과가 뛰어난 로이복층유리를 마감재로 적용하였다. 주요 건축물의 특성은 CIQ시설, 여객시설 및 운영업체 사무실을 갖춘 여객터미널과 철골 트러스 구조를 적용한 장스팬 구조물인 격납고 및 도로레벨과 계류장레벨의 4.2m 단차를 활용한 지하주차장으로 계획되었다.
The new construction for the FBO at Gimpo International Airport was designed with an excellent rank for green buildings and a first rank for energy efficiency to create an eco-friendly building. A geothermal system was applied throughout the building to help reduce energy use. While the major structural component is composed of a steel and concrete framework, glass wool panels were used for the hangar, and aluminium honeycomb materials combined with stone were used to finish the passenger terminal. All of these materials serve as major exterior materials, which are combined with low-emissivity glass that boasts remarkable insulation, especially as a finishing material. The major structural characteristics include the passenger terminal with its CIQ facility, passenger facility, and offices for administration companies, as well as a long-span hangar which uses a steel truss structure, and an underground parking lot which has a 4.2m height difference between the road level and mooring level.
